Passing Away | Victorian Memorial with Hand Painted Roses
Description
Passing Away | Victorian Memorial with Hand Painted RosesThis early Victorian memorial consists of a handwritten poem (Passing Away) surrounded by a hand painted wreath of pink roses, made for a loved one who passed away in 1839. Presented in a wooden frame from the same period. I took this in last year for my collection then ran out of wall space! A unique piece for the collector who has everything.
Condition is good overall with some edgewear to the cards and minor surface wear to the folder
or horizontally so it looks like the sword is slicing through the books
Presented in a later vintage wooden frame
It retains its original key
LAST ONE AND THEY’RE GONE
has clearly been read but no marked pages
I love all things black lacquer & mother of oesrl
A rare treasure
& nurturing for women
Sold at a low price as is: The deck is incomplete & contains 48 cards
Gorgeous framed print of a nun by Harrison Fisher as featured in his iconic book The Dream of Fair Women
the frame shows wear to the gesso
