The 2025 Palmer was picked between September 4 and 26 at just 20 hl ha (Duroux mentioned how yields have decreased by around 10 hl ha over the last decade). Matured in 80% new oak and then racked into foudres the following June, it is quintessentially Palmer on the nose with those almost extravagant floral violet scents that blossom in the glass. more austere than in recent years but still full of character and charm

This feels tensile with a lovely hint of bitter orange on the finish

the Blanc possesses sizzling energy and tons of depth that continues to reveal itself over time

but that potential is not always realised

Very concentrated for a 2011 with layer upon layer of cassis fruit complimented by spicy notes and ultra fine tannins

buttoned up Pomerol

Really a light tannin touch but filled with energy

it gently fans out with pure

Although it is not especially showy today

Power but smooth and approachable

Wafting from the glass with aromas of blackberries and raspberries mingled with cigar wrapper
