I suggest rounding via sanding the long edges of these blanks to alleviate the long edge of the honeycomb popping out when initially rounding the blank on lathe

These Cholla Pen Blanks make great Kit pens and Diamond Painting Pens

The blanks are all >= 5 3/4"  x 7/8" Round

They are stabilized spalted quartersawn sycamore

If you don't like that look you can fill the holes with CA glue or dab of epoxy
