The family Syrah is very deep purple in colour almost ink like with a nose suggesting black currents, plums and liquorice on a spicy background. The palate is elegant and long with pronounced fruit intensity and powerful tannins. Dark lustrous, purplish crimson. Broad, waxy nose with the merest hint of reduction but still very obviously Syrah. Definitely skinnier with less
