Spinel ("floater")A textbook, pristine, complete "floater" crystal of beautiful glowing pink Spinel. This attractive and fine quality thumbnail is a fine example of this well known, yet elusive material from Mogok. The piece was a bit difficult to photograph but truly looks much better in person. The piece has a two-tone effect that is caused by a deposition of a brownish mineral on the back of the piece

Hard to photograph (like many of the Fluorites from this locality) and better in person

Most of the crystals are in excellent condition but it is contacted on the back

It is not only rare to find terminated crystals of Natrolite from this mine

and the classic desirable internal black "phantom" makes for a great touch

which is impressive as most of the Ferberite twins are broken on one end

There is an interesting white "vein" of Microcline running through the center of one of the Amazonite crystals
