Etna Rosso - Terre NereTerre Nere is located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna and is one of the pioneers of the 'recent' Etna winemaking wave. The Etna Rosso is grown in black volcanic soils high in mineral content. 500,000 years of volcanic eruptions have created endless soil variation. The soil at Terre Nere is mostly volcanic ash speckled by black pumice and peppered with abundant volcanic rock; to call it rocky is putting it mildly!
