Tonga Stool 20
Description
Tonga Stool 20Our collection of Tonga stools originate from the Tonga people of Zimbabwe. The stools have been hand carved by the community using indigenous wood. The maker creates unique designs each time, so no two stools are identical. As the Tonga stool is used as a portable seat which is carried to neighbouring communities for ceremonies and gatherings they often vary in size, with the larger stool and more difficult stools to transport harder to come by.
Peul bowls are often associated with distinct and elegant wood carving that evokes a tortoise shell aesthetic or simple bowls with rustic details
Hand-woven from grass and finished with leather with cowrie shells sewn on by hand
Our Silent Hunter cushion is made with a cotton blend textile with a beautiful bold and contemporary take on the iconic patterning of one of Africa's most loved animals
Tonga stools are perfect for styling as a low side table or decorative sculptural low stool or accessory for anywhere in the home
Metal stand is included
