Description
Baganda Milk ContainerThis milk container originated from the Baganda people of Uganda. It is hand carved from wood with a weighted round bottom to ensure collected milk does not spill. The lid is woven from vegetable fibres and skilfully decorated with geometric designs which is then repeated on the vessel itself. This container has a beautiful carved pattern detail and the wood has taken on a natural sheen after being rubbed with a pigment from the indigo plant. Style as
