The Rosso fruit is harvested earlier for freshness from among De Fermo's 11 hectares of certified biodynamic Montepulciano vine (the riper fruit from later harvest goes into the traditional rosato Le Cince Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Superiore and the long aged Prologo DOC Montepulciano d'Abruzzo). The grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, crushed and macerated for only
